Autoterm Baltica System

The all-in-one solution for off grid water heating. It combines efficient air, water, and coolant heating in a single integrated solution - ideal for vehicles, boats, cabins, and specialised installations.

The system features a 13 L expansion tank with a built-in heat exchanger, delivering hot water within 6–10 minutes of activation.

For additional heating performance, the system includes two 800 W heating cores that connect directly to the grid.

Hot Water Performance

Shower ready in 6-10 minutes

Water runs through Baltica's internal heat exchanger, providing instant hot water for showers, washing, and onboard comfort without a separate boiler.

Interior Heating

With radiators & fan coil units

The system circulates heated coolant through radiators or heat exchangers to make the interior warm and comfortable.

Heated Floor Support
For premium all-season off-grid living

Baltica’s coolant heating capacity supports heated floor systems in motorhomes, campers, and yacht installations for even higher standards.

SOLAR READY ⚡
Baltica uses 2X integrated 800W heating elements to maintain water and coolant temperature when external AC power is available - ideal for shore power, campsites, or solar/inverter setups to reduce diesel heater runtime.

Designed for:

  • Domestic hot water supply
  • Hydronic heating systems with radiators
  • Fan coil heating systems
  • Secondary compartment heating when used with Baltica Control
  • Marine, camper, vehicle, and specialised installations

Key benefits:

  • All-in-one solution for water, air, and coolant heating
  • 13 L integrated expansion tank with internal heat exchanger
  • Hot water availability within approximately 6-10 minutes
  • Two integrated 800 W electric heating elements for grid support
  • Can support interior heating through radiators or fan coil units
  • Suitable for standalone use or integration into custom heating systems

  • Important: The AUTOTERM Baltica System and Baltica Control are designed to operate exclusively with the special AUTOTERM Baltica Flow 5 heater version. Standard AUTOTERM Flow 5 heaters are not compatible with the Baltica System operation or Baltica Control functionality.

Domestic hot water performance:

Baltica System uses an internal heat exchanger to provide instant domestic hot water. To ensure a steady hot water supply, a flow regulator must be installed.

The recommended water flow rate is 3.5 L/min, helping maintain stable water temperature and reliable performance during use.

Air and compartment heating:

In addition to domestic water heating, Baltica can support interior heating when connected to compatible heating accessories such as radiators or fan coil units.

When used with Baltica Control, the system can manage heating demand automatically and operate fans or third-party heating devices through relay-based heat-on-demand operation.

Grid heating support:

The integrated grid heating elements are independent heating devices designed to maintain coolant temperature when connected to shore power or external grid supply.

The system can operate together with the Baltica Flow 5 for additional heating support or in GRID-only mode, where stored heat can be used for domestic water and space heating without running the heater.

When GRID mode is active, Baltica Flow 5 heating settings are locked. To enable Baltica Flow 5 heating, GRID mode must first be switched off.

Control options:

  • Push Control: basic control, automatic pump start/stop, and automatic fan stop at target temperature
  • Baltica Control: automatic pump control, automatic heating fan management, target-temperature fan stop, and secondary compartment heating function

Installation notes:

  • The Baltica System expansion tank must be installed vertically
  • The tank must be securely fixed using original mounting brackets
  • Alternative mounting positions are not permitted
  • Minimum clearance of 5 cm must be maintained on all sides
  • The system must be installed with adequate ventilation
  • The coolant piping between the heater and tank must not exceed 3 meters
  • The heater must be installed within +/- 50 cm from the tank centerline if mounted separately
  • An overflow pipe must be connected to prevent coolant or steam discharge into the compartment

Coolant requirements:

We advise using AUTOTERM Aluminium EKO Coolant - a specialised propylene glycol coolant designed for safe and reliable operation of the Baltica system. Alternative non-corrosive propylene glycol may be used, as long as it has the same specification as Aluminium EKO Coolant.

Do not use water as coolant. For non-domestic applications, G13 antifreeze may be used.

Technical specifications:

  • Tank volume: 13 L
  • Maximum operating pressure: 1.1 bar
  • Test pressure: 1.9 bar
  • Maximum coolant temperature: 90°C
  • Heating elements: 2 × 800 W
  • Total electric heating power: 1600 W
  • Thermostat: 90°C
  • Safety cutoff: 91–95°C
  • Recommended water flow rate: 3.5 L/min
  • Coolant: Propylene glycol only for domestic water applications

Maintenance recommendations & usage:

  • Regularly inspect the system for leaks and ensure the safety valve operates correctly
  • Inspect electrical terminals every 6 months
  • Check coolant once a year
  • Flush the system every 2 years
