AVL is was founded by Paul and Owen in the UK. Having always loved camping and exploring remote landscapes, we pushed ourselves to do extreme locations. But we kept running into the same problem—products simply weren't built to handle the extreme conditions we travelled to. That's why we started testing everything ourselves in the world's most demanding conditions. Last winter, we pushed our Unimog to the Arctic Circle, enduring temperatures below -48°C. This year, our testing team heads to Africa to continue proving what our gear can truly handle.
