Looking after your Solo Stove Ranger is simple.

Use Seasoned Firewood

For the cleanest burn and maximum heat output, use dry, seasoned hardwoods such as:

Avoid wet or freshly cut wood, as it produces more smoke and leaves behind excess ash.

Cleaning

Once completely cool, empty the ash pan and brush away any remaining debris. Store the fire pit in a clean, dry location when not in use.

Stainless Steel Patina

Over time, the stainless steel will naturally develop attractive blue and gold tones after repeated fires. This heat patina is completely normal and does not affect performance.

If you prefer the original polished finish, clean the exterior with a suitable stainless steel cleaner such as Bar Keepers Friend.

Outdoor Storage

If storing outdoors, we recommend covering your Ranger to protect it from the elements. Although the stainless steel body is highly durable, keeping the interior dry will help maximise the lifespan of the ash pan and internal components.
